[erlang-questions] Erlang distro size increase

Hi,

The reason for the increase size of the distribution is that beginning from
R11B-5 all the platform independent parts are prebuilt in order to make
the final build much easier and faster for you as end users.
All (99%) of the Erlang code is precompiled (with debug_info) and the
Dialyzer plt is also prebuilt. In practice it is only the C-code that
needs to be built by
the end user and because of this the time to build a complete Erlang
installation
should be significantly shorter now.
