My aim was simply to list of bunch of suggestions that have come up on
erlang-questions in the past, and to indicate that most of them are
already supported at the BEAM level.

If someone wanted to write another language on top of BEAM, one with
support for Erlang concurrency constructs, it's certainly doable.
