[erlang-questions] Error compiling R11B-1 on Ubuntu

Thanks alot guys, it was definitely a problem with the configure cache!

I had been installing packages while running configure which led to the
strange compile error.
After untaring the source to a different directory and rerunning configure
it no longer reported the error.
