Here at the Facultad de Informática of Universidad Politécnica de Madrid
I recently gave a couple lectures
on Erlang in a PhD course on "Software based on components", as an
example solution for
developing distributed systems. Also there is at least one student doing
a Master thesis project related with Erlang.
