Really ? How do you do it in C ? or in Lisp ? Using a library, it is not
a feature of the language itself. And you can make a library to do that
just as well on Erlang or you could even use a C library from Erlang. I
think the answer of not being possible to stretch a gif is related to a
particular library that was being used at the time. You may criticize
the library but the library is not the language.
Obviously adding the feature instead of criticizing would be much more
productive.
