Automatic node discovery

More precisely...

If a new node broadcasts a particular UDP packet that other nodes are
listening to and those nodes make contact with the new node would that be
sufficient?

I found this message from Ulf: http://www.erlang.org/ml-archive/erlang-
questions/200007/msg00025.html but I do not want to use a configuration
file and want things to be totally automated.
