Yes, it has been deprecated for a long time, in gcc 3.3 it is
completely removed.
InitialReference should be fixed to use sstream instead.

(It is probably trivial but it is S.E.P. I've had to hack to much c++
during the last year for living and will not do it for fun ;-)
