GS user/kernel namespaces

Hi,

I wonder what is the meaning of the kernel and user address spaces used in 
gstk? (i.e. the use of even and odd numbers as references to tk objects) Is 
it an internal housekeeping thing, or is there a deeper meaning that escapes 
me?
