Fixes for 20010906 snapshot

Hi,

here are a few fixes for the 20010906 snapshot.
The emulator will now build without compiler warnings under RH 7.1
+Linux 2.4.9 + gcc 2.95.3 ;-)

A note on building on RedHat 7.1. Don't use the default RH gcc (2.96,
which is not
an official release of gcc) since it will only generate tons of
warnings.
Use a released version of gcc like 2.95.3 instead.
