problems with the emacs mode and the binary syntax

The erlang-mode.el included in R7B (source) actually groks the bit
syntax (I think this was mentioned at the EUC), but I noticed
yesterday, when I tried the bit syntax myself for the first time, that
the byte-compiled file seems to be left over from an older
release. Try recompiling it (or simply remove the .elc file).
