What we have said before is that Erlang
combines two traditions:

-	Languages like Modula, Chill and Ada
	which have modules (packages) and
	processes (tasks). The sequential
	paradigm for these languages, however,
	is more like Pascal or PL/I.

-	Untyped functional languages.
