gen_tcp:connect incorrect error message

Hi,

While debugging a duff bit of my code I found this behaviour:

84>gen_tcp:connect("hostname", 4567, [{packet, asn1}, active]).
{'EXIT',badarg}

The docs suggest I should get {error, Reason} not {'EXIT', Reason}.
