Questions regarding the GC of Erlang

My topic of research consists in to construct a garbage collector (GC)
for the actors distributed on several sites. I will like to knowledge
the details of the GC that you use for the Erlang language, how has you
measured the performances of this GC and lately if it is possible to
send me some papers regarding this topic (GC of Erlang).
