Support nested record field access without parentheses

I have ported the patch to the current tree and extended
record_SUITE.erl to test the change.

This is an RFC PATCH seeking a review from the OTP Technical Board.

Is this something that can be accepted upstream or would it break
compatibility in ways I am not aware of?

Or is it an undesirable change of too little benefit?
