This potentially breaks pretty much any project that manipulates AST, 
including many parse_transforms, other BEAM languages targetting the 
Erlang AST, tools that generate code, and of course everything that 
requires one of the above to work. This sounds serious enough to do a 
hotfix.

Also sounds like test suites are really missing there, something should 
be done about it to make sure it doesn't happen again.
