Talking to myself ...

Dug further, and it turns out that inet_drv.c
bug is actually triggered by a bug in firefox.
It send's pipelined requests with an additional CRNL
after the first request (which is a POST) 
This _exactly_ gets the inet driver into the bad state.

Boring ...
