11 INTERPRETER Release Notes
These release notes are for the Interpreter (the interpreting debugger).
This source debugger (INTERPRETER) only runs on the Unix platform and is to be replaced by the the DEBUGGER application that is part of this release. To make this move smooth for those used to the interpreter we include both debuggers in the Unix release.
The DEBUGGER is now the default debugger, to use the old debugger (the INTERPRETER), start
erl
with the option-old_debugger
.Note that at some point the INTERPRETER application will be excluded from future releases.
